A large villa in Emirates Hills, positioned overlooking the lake, was in need of a complete landscape refresh. The existing garden and original pool felt dated, and the brief was to re-envision the space as a modern, hotel-inspired garden that complemented the villa’s interior design while making the most of its exceptional lakeside setting.

With limited width across the rear garden, centring the pool presented a significant design challenge. Through careful planning and engineering, we were able to maximise the pool size while maintaining generous circulation space and layered planting, creating a considered foreground to the lake beyond. The design also retained areas of natural lawn and worked with the property’s mature planting to create a lush, established feel.

The finished garden provides a seamless connection between the villa and landscape, with the pool and planting forming a beautiful backdrop to the main living and entertaining areas. The result is a refined, contemporary retreat that transforms the original garden into the modern hotel-style space the client envisioned.
