A contemporary villa on Jubail Island called for a landscape that would soften its crisp white architecture and timber detailing while creating a calm, resort-style retreat. The brief was to bring lush greenery, shade and water together in a garden made for both everyday family living and entertaining, set against the island’s natural surroundings.
The arrival sets the tone, with clipped hedges, a timber-gated boundary wall and feature palms framing a broad paved forecourt with linear banding. Pale stone pathways lead through generous beds of tropical foliage, flowering shrubs and soft silver-purple accents, with a sculptural frangipani adding shade and fragrance. At the heart of the garden, a slatted timber pergola shelters an outdoor kitchen, dining, and lounge area. A circular moon-gate wall frames views of the planting beyond. A long, tranquil pool with sun loungers sits alongside a lawn crossed by stepping-stone pads, and discreet uplighting keeps the garden warm and inviting after dark.
The result is a refined, contemporary landscape that extends the character of the villa outdoors, creating a private resort atmosphere surrounded by greenery, water and carefully considered spaces for living and entertaining.
