A beautiful and carefully considered softscape design for the office building in Gabon. The planting creates a dignified and welcoming setting that complements the architecture while softening the site and bringing a sense of calm to every space.
Along the street, a row of golden-leaved trees rises above the boundary wall. It is underplanted with layered shrubs and a green lawn verge, giving the embassy an elegant and memorable presence. Inside the gates, a sculptural feature tree marks the arrival court, while ornamental grasses and flowering planting soften the edges of the driveway and building façades.
Within the private courtyards, the planting becomes more intimate. Potted olive trees line the narrow walkways, and flowering climbers trail overhead to create shade and a gentle sense of enclosure. Around the swimming pool, palms, clipped shrubs and dense green hedging provide privacy and frame a peaceful setting for relaxation.
The planting palette has been carefully selected to suit the local climate while bringing year-round colour, texture and structure. Trailing greenery spills from the upper levels, connecting the planting at ground level with the architecture above. The result is a landscape that feels lush, cohesive and closely tied to the character of the building.
